Course descriptionThe emphasis in this course is on making and implementing policies for economic development in developing countries. The course recognises that there is often a divergence between the crisp conclusions of economic theory and economic models and the 'fuzzier' formulation and implementation of policy in seeking to ask, in a particular area: What should be done? The course will also provide an opportunity to examine both the applicability and some of the limitations of conventional economic reasoning with the context of developing countries.
