| Course description | This course in spoken and written French is designed for students who have some knowledge of French (approximately Standard Grade/GCSE level) and who wish to extend it.
All students take all elements of assessment including the degree examination.
There is an identical course (Elementary French Language - ELCF07005) which runs in the first semester.
On successful completion of the course students will have the option of taking Intermediate French Language (ELCF07004), which follows on from Elementary French Language. |

GROUP A: Monday and Thursday, 16:10-18:00
OR
GROUP B: Tuesday and Thursday, 14:10-16:00

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| Improved competence in the four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing French. This greater competence is intended to lead to greater confidence and to enhance the ability to learn independently. |
