Course descriptionThis post-introductory course is normally intended for students who have successfully completed Introductory Swedish Language (ELCS07002) or have reached an equivalent standard (Standard Grade/GCSE). It is not suitable for absolute beginners or students with knowledge of [language] at Highers/AS-level or above.

Pre-requisites It is RECOMMENDED that students have passed Introductory Swedish (ELCS07002)

Prohibited Combinations Other requirements If not taken Introductory Swedish: Swedish at Standard Grade (SCE)/GCSE or equivalent evidence of proficiency.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will further develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in Swedish. They will further develop knowledge of basic grammatical structures and of vocabulary.
Assessment Information
Coursework comprising of two class tests (20% and 15%) and and homework excercises (15%). Final degree exam at the end of the semester (50%).

All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination.
Special Arrangements
This course is open to all students. DELC students may only take this course if it over and above their full credit load, as in a non credit bearing course.
