| Course description | The course engages with the relationship between the recent theories and fictions of both postmodernity and feminism. As such, it asks if there can be a postmodern feminism. |

| That students will have an understanding of both postmodernism and feminism, and an appreciation of the troubled relationship between the two disciplines. |
Assessment Information
| 1 course essay of c. 2,500 words, 1 two hour exam paper. |
Special Arrangements
| Numbers are limited to 15, with priority given to students taking degrees involving English or Scottish Literature and Visiting Students placed by the Admissions Office. Students not in these categories need the written approval of the Head of English Literature before enrolling. In the case of excess applications places will be decided by ballot. |
