Course descriptionThis courses provides an overview of contemporary British drama within the context of contemporary critical thought. It will also include some investigation of contemporary theatre practice, including new ideas about staging and new techniques of acting.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The course will provide students with the means to learn critical methods, and will allow them to practice analysing in detail an extremely complex art form (drama). It will stimulate students to think, judge and articulate in ways which will be applicable beyond the immediate concerns of this course.
