Course descriptionEvidence is about the rules which govern how disputed issues of fact can be resolved in legal proceedings, both civil and criminal. It is part of the adjective law,ie it contains rules about rules and provides part of the means by which the substantive law is put into operation.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Legal Reasoning and Legal System (LAWS08106)

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The acquisition by the student of knowledge of the concepts used in, and the principles and major rules of, the Scottish law of evidence; development of the ability to apply those concepts, principles and rules to factual situations, both civil and criminal.
