Course descriptionCourse for final year students in Honours programmes in Mathematics.

Metric spaces. Topological spaces. Compactness, connectedness, path-connectedness. Identification spaces. Compact surfaces. Homotopy. Fundamental groups and their calculation. Covering spaces.
