Course descriptionThe course has two components: Keyboard Skills and instrumental/vocal performance. It aims to provide an integrated introductory course in general musicianship, and continues to develop keyboard skills, as well as encouraging students' performance on their individual instruments or voice.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students who satisfactorily complete this course will be expected to have acquired: reasonable powers of musical interpretation and artistic and expressive skills in performing; facility at reading, at the keyboard, figured bass, and simple orchestral and vocal scores, as well as transposing accompaniments and harmonizing melodies.
Assessment Information
Performance (45%): Candidates must present a solo performance programme of no more than 12 minutes (end of Semester 2).

Keyboard Skills (45%): One exam in the December diet (25%) and one exam in the April/May diet (75%).
