Course descriptionThis is an independent study course for MSc students, in the area of musical acoustics and/or audio signal processing. Topics of interest are: audio synthesis, physical models of musical instruments, audio effect design and emulation.

An independent study project, allowing the student an exploration of aspects of audio and musical acoustics, including, but not limited to:

musical acoustics of a particular instrument
physical modeling, including programming in the Matlab environment
audio effect design, including programming in the Matlab environment
