    Notes:"IMES option courses" are courses involving discursive studies of Islam/Middle East related subjects with texts read in English. A list of available courses is made available before the beginning of each semester, and students will be able to choose from among these courses in consultation with their directors of studies. While specific course offerings change from year to year, these courses typically include subjects in history, politics, religion, or cultural studies.
