Summary | This module offers the opportunity for study in the workplace environment. While the student is undertaking a period of employment a topic is identified in discussion with a member of academic staff and a draft report on the topic is submitted. The Placement Report is a focused study of a particular aspect of architectural practice, or related activity carried out during the Placement then submitted on return. This module normally follows Architectural Design Placement (working learning). Aims - The module will:
1. Provide an opportunity to reflect, appraise, analyse and present knowledge and understanding gained through direct experience of a specific aspect of the architectural profession or related activity; 2. Practice researching and investigating a specific topic bearing on the practice of architecture or a related activity; 3. Articulate and illustrate work experience or related activity in a coherent and professional manner; 4. Invite students to gather information (text and drawings)relating to the practice of architecture or a related activity and to assemble this into a coherent form. |
