SummaryOrganisation, growth and interactions of bacterial cells. Interactions of microorganisms with higher organisms. Viruses, viral transformation and oncogenesis. Cell interactions in multicellular organisms: cell diversity, differentiation and growth; tissue organisation and cell communication. Organisation of the mammalian immune system. Innate and acquired immunity. Antibodies. Applications of microbial and immunological techniques.
