| Pre-requisites | Visiting students should have at least 3 Divinity/Religious Studies courses at grade B or above (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses. |

Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this course students should be able to:-
1. demonstrate an understanding of the way linguists approach problems in the description of ancient Hebrew;
2. exhibit a detailed understanding of classical Hebrew syntax;
3. translate ancient Hebrew texts into English, and defend their translation choices;
4. offer an historical perspective on the Hebrew language before the turn of the era;
5. demonstrate an ability to identify key terms and their meanings;
6. demonstrate good judgement about how to judge the relative importance of items on course bibliographies.
