Learning Outcomes
The final project will enable students to integrate theoretical learning with applied approaches to the mobilisation of film, exhibition and curation. Final project work will require students to demonstrate an informed appreciation of film as both material and cultural object; an awareness of the historical, geographical, industrial and institutional contexts in which film is circulated; and an understanding of the relationship between the moving image and its audiences. Whether working individually or within a group, student work will demonstrate outreach both through research and/or exhibition, a recognition of the significance of collaboration within the field, and show evidence of knowledge of interdependence and networks - whether cultural, economic or interdisciplinary, transnational, cross-media or cross-genre.
