Summary | The primary objective of the course is to enable the student to develop a solid understanding of key concepts underpinning entrepreneurship and new venture creation. The course aims to develop the intellectual skills of students to understand, analyse and critical evaluate theories, concepts and current issues relating to processes of new venture creation and entrepreneurial management and to apply these in a practical context. |

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students will have had the opportunity to:
1) Reflect upon and critically evaluate the concepts underpinning the process of new venture creation and the entrepreneurial process more widely;
2) Compare and contrast the nature of the entrepreneurial process, including market analysis and management of the new venture, in a variety of organisational contexts;
3) Evaluate the contribution of entrepreneurship and various financing approaches to new venture creation and development;
4) Apply some of the theories, concepts, strategies and methodologies discussed during the course in a practical context.
