SummaryIndicative course content
This module enables students to build upon their MA design research and develop further their personal integrated, critical and reflective design research approach appropriate to their chosen design discipline. Students work on self-selected and generated design projects within a design studio environment, presenting their work in an exhibition.

1 Develop, consolidate and build upon advanced personal design methods, techniques and approaches
2 Develop, consolidate and build upon advanced personal approaches to materials and processes
3 Develop advanced personal approaches to communicating their work in a public context

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. master the creative processes of design and be able to generate, evaluate and consolidate original concepts through advanced critical assessment and considered judgement and reflection
  2. master appropriate material development through a transparent critical and reflective iterative process that leads to a resolved and consolidated advanced outcome
  3. demonstrate a fully integrated, consolidated, critical and contextualised advanced relationship between their studio work and research, professional practice and theoretical studies
