SummaryIndicative course content
This module consolidates students professional awareness of working methods and practices within their disciplines current practice in order to underpin their studio work and plan their professional career in a mature, contextualised manner

Aims of course
1 Enable students to develop advanced personal professional practices and methods
2 Enable students to confidently and maturely position their personal practice within the discipline and a broader professional context
3 Enable students to maturely determine the appropriate personal design methodologies and strategies for the professional presentation, exhibition and documentation of work to clearly identified audiences/clients/users/stakeholders

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. master the critical evaluation of their discipline, and professionally position themselves within it
  2. apply appropriate advanced communication skills persuasively, both orally and visually and to present, rationalise and communicate design concepts within a professional context
  3. demonstrate a fully integrated, critical and mature relationship between their studio work and professional practice
