SummaryThis course in spoken and written French is designed for students who have completed the Foundation French Language 2 course or who have reached an equivalent standard.

This course is not suitable for students who have qualifications which would allow them to enter French 1B (ELCF08006).

All students take all elements of assessment including the degree examination.

Pre-requisites It is RECOMMENDED that students have passed ( Foundation French Language 2 (ELCF07008) OR Foundation French Language 2 (ELCF07010))
Co-requisites
Prohibited Combinations Students MUST NOT also be taking Foundation French Language 3 (ELCF07007)
Other requirements If not taken Foundation French Language 2: A pass in French at A level- or at Higher grades C - or at A level grades C, D or E. Students with Higher A or B or A level A or B should enter French 1B (ELCF08006).

Students are taken from their intermediate level to an advanced intermediate and are qualified at the end of the course to enter French 1B (ELCF08006). All skills are enhanced and the ability to work independently is encouraged and developed.

Special Arrangements This course is open to all students as a credit bearing course, or over and above their full credit load, as a non credit bearing course. DELC students may only take this course if it over and above their full credit load, as a non credit bearing course.
