Learning Outcomes
In the first semester, cultural awareness and linguistic sensitivity will be developed, as well as an excellent command of written English and good translating skills.

The essay-writing element of the course teaches students to structure and sustain, in German, an argument relating to political, cultural, or social issues. The course will develop students' writing style and vocabulary in German, and their competence in German grammar and syntax.
