SummaryThe course will introduce the students to the fundamentals of renewable energy engineering concentrating on wind, wave, tidal, and hydropower. The renewable resource will be characterised in engineering terms together with principles of utilising it for electrical energy generation. In doing so, basic mechanical engineering concepts will be reviewed and applied to the renewable energy engineering.
