SummaryThis course will give an introduction to the effect of stress and hormones on cognitive ageing. It will introduce the topic and provide an overview of the area and describe the role of glucocorticoids on cognitive ageing.

Neuroendocrine aspects of ageing overview

WEEK 2
Normal and abnormal brain responses to stress

WEEK 3
Neuroendocrine allostasis and cognitive ageing

WEEK 4
Glucocorticoids and cognitive ageing

WEEK 5
Neuroendocrine therapeutic targets and cognitive ageing

WEEK 6
Future research directions in neuroendocrine aspects of cognitive ageing
