| Summary | Architecture in Scotland has traditionally been studied within a British context, but it is increasingly evident that at all periods the people inhabiting Scotland have been creating buildings with influences from far beyond the island of Britain. The course will focus on how indigenous factors affecting Scotland's architecture have been modified by these international connections from the Dark and Middle Ages through to the Renaissance in the sixteenth century |
