SummaryThe course will build on Advanced Arabic 1 and provide the student with advanced communication skills to enable him or her to carry out high level interviews in Arabic. Language teaching will be intensive (20 hours per week) for the first four weeks at a language institution in the Arab world. The student will then have three weeks to complete a small language-based project which must include an interview (or short interviews) (totalling 30 minutes) in Arabic and short report (1,500 words) in Modern Standard Arabic.

Course description Four weeks of intensive language study at a language institution in the Arab world to focus on the Arab Spring and its influence on novels, short stories and plays.
This will be followed by the short project which will require the student to carry out an interview or series of interviews in Arabic totalling 30 minutes with an accompanying report in Arabic of 1500 words.
