Summary | This course will focus on the intracellular signalling pathways operated by G protein-coupled receptors and their downstream cellular consequences. We shall examine established and novel mechanisms of signal transduction together with processes for their regulation. In addition we shall consider the functional significance of these events in health and disease states, for example neuropsychiatric disorders. The course will include lectures, seminars and student presentations on key topics in the field and will aim to develop skills in the critical analysis of research papers. |
