SummaryWork towards reconciliation is one of the key factors in bringing an end to conflict and helping individuals and communities to co-exist peacefully. This course introduces the theology and spirituality of reconciliation, examining the dynamics of reconciliation and exploring some practical aspects of how to live in a reconciling way.

Pre-requisitesVisiting students should have at least 3 Divinity/Religious Studies courses at grade B or above (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses.

Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this course, a student will:
1) be able to demonstrate understanding of some of the key dimensions of theologies of reconciliation including the definition and dynamics of reconciliation and the contours of a spirituality of reconciliation;
(2) have engaged critically with primary sources on reconciliation, forgiveness, and repentance;
(3) be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and deliver a presentation for a seminar;
(4) have participated in constructive discussion and debate with other seminar members in a respectful manner.
