Summary | An individual research project will be carried out in the second semester. A range of projects will be offered within staff research areas. The emphasis will be on the application of basic science to clinical problems. The project written up and submitted as a thesis will contribute 80% of the marks. An oral presentation of the project work will also be assessed and contribute 10% of the total marks for the course. An oral examination in the presence of the external examiner to test the student's ability to defend their project thesis will contribute 10% of the total marks for the course. |
