A studio based course involving a series of short design projects, site visits and critiques accompanied by technical drafting exercises.
Aims of course
1 To introduce the basic principles of the design of external spaces.
2 To communicate the design of external spaces through a range of drawing techniques.
Mode of delivery
Site visits, fieldwork, individual and group studio based tutorials, individual and group critiques. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. analyse and understand the composition of external spaces
2. represent simple spatial designs through drafting techniques
3. design simple spaces and sequences of external spaces |
Assessment Information
Students must pass all learning outcomes. The aggregation of failed Learning outcomes with passing learning outcomes to generate an overall pass mark is not permitted. Failure of one learning outcome will result in a Forced Fail (FF) outcome.
