The course consists of a series of lectures, site visits and studio based projects.
Aims of course
1 To introduce basic principles and practice of landscape construction/engineering
2 To focus attention on the implementation and of design projects through an introduction to professional practice and site visits

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. produce a basic set of working construction drawings with appropriate specification
2. apply an understanding landscape construction/engineering to the resolution of detail design brief/s
3. apply knowledge and understanding of landscape construction/engineering techniques including drainage and slope stabalization, retainning and free standing walls, water features, external furniture etc. |
Assessment Information
Students must pass all learning outcomes. The aggregation of failed Learning outcomes with passing learning outcomes to generate an overall pass mark is not permitted. Failure of one learning outcome will result in a Forced Fail (FF) outcome. |
