Course description | Indicative course content
Production of a dissertation of 10,000 words. Individual subjects are chosen, agreed, investigated and discussed before the start of semester 1. Before writing up is commenced & personal tutors allocated, students will discuss and agree a synopsis of the proposal with the module coordinator at the end of week 1. at the beginning of semester 2, students will submit a first draft.
Aims of course
1 To facilitate a substantial and in-depth study of an approved subject, relevant to landscape architecture in which some individual contribution is made to the discipline.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. define and develop a research problem.
2. define & develop an appropriate research method and gather & organise relevant data selectively.
3. develop and disseminate a argument through the reasoned use of data or evidence. |
Assessment Information
Students must pass all learning outcomes. The aggregation of failed Learning outcomes with passing learning outcomes to generate an overall pass mark is not permitted. Failure of one learning outcome will result in a Forced Fail (FF) outcome. Students are permitted two attempts to pass this course. |
