Course descriptionA selection of readings from the Greek Old Testament, Greek New Testament, and other Greek writings of the Hellenistic and Roman periods, along with some elements of advanced grammar and vocabulary.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Intermediate New Testament Greek (BIST08018) OR Intermediate New Testament Greek (Honours) (BIST10041)
Co-requisites
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements Students should have attained a miminum of a Grade B in either New Testament Greek 2 or 2H.

Pre-requisitesVisiting students should have passed at least three previous courses in New Testament Greek at Grade B or better (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses.

Enhanced ability to read/translate a variety of Koine Greek texts.
Enhanced acquaintance with vocabulary and grammatical featurs of Koine Greek.
Demonstrate an ability to identify key terms and their meanings.
Demonstrate good judgement about how to judge the relative importance of items on course bibliographies.
Assessment Information
10% on regular class attendance and preparation,
30% on a translation notebook,
60% on 2-hour written examination.
