Course description | The course comprises a major research project in one area of Evolutionary Biology. A wide range of projects is offered and students are also encouraged to submit their own proposals. Projects are allocated early in Semester 1 with project planning and training, and limited practical work taking place in semester 1; the majority of practical work takes place in Semester 2 (January) and proceeds until thesis hand-in (late April). The project also involves a significant taught training element covering key research skills such as study design, scientific presentation, scientific writing and data analysis and interpretation. |
