Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Clinical and functional anatomy with pathological and operative relevance; A sound working knowledge of the range of arthroplasties for Primary and revision surgery for patello femoral, unicompartmental and total replacement of the knee with particular reference to secure bone anchorage, alignment, ligament stability and optimising range of movement; A good knowledge of post-operative complications, their prophylaxis and management; Demonstrate critical understanding of anatomy and apply this knowledge and understanding to the systematic assessment of patients presenting with musculoskeletal disorders and disease; Critically appraise reconstructive surgical procedures. Knowledge of alternative joint procedures such as osteotomies and arthrodeses.
