| The dissertation aims to develop and demonstrate analytical and organisational skills in a particular area, thus giving students an insight to the world of research and scholarship. A dissertation does not necessarily aim at exhaustiveness within its field or topic, nor does it need to incorporate original research, although both elements may be apparant in the completed dissertation. |
