| Course description | An introduction to good design and analysis of scientific studies of behaviour, the course covers issues in experimental design, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics. Students will have extensive practice using a statistical package. |

| An understanding of internal and external validity, pertinent experimental designs, data as distributions; a grasp of statistical inference, ability to employ a statistical package to run commonly used descriptive and inferential statistics, and to interpret the results. |
