| Course description | The theory and function of the law of contract with reference to the associated concepts of unilateral promise and unjust enrichment. Consideration will be given to such topics as constitution and breach of contract; public policy and contracts; and the future of contract law. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To develop in each member of the class:
a critical knowledge and understanding of the Scots law of contract in its doctrinal, comparative and social context;
the ability to articulate that knowledge and understanding in speech and writing;
