Course descriptionEach student will conduct a project on a subject chosen in conjunction with the course organiser and a prospective supervisor. It may take the form of a scientific experiment, a literature review, a management plan or any other exercise approved by the programme director and examination board.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
1. You will learn skills in hypothesis setting, interrogation and analysis via written, oral and visual means. You will develop skills in the preparation and delivery of reports, posters and both individual and group oral presentations. You will gain skills and abilities in communication.
2. You will learn to become proficient in group and individual work. You will develop basic statistical skills, computer literacy, and both field and laboratory experimentation. You will gain skills and abilities in personal effectiveness.
3. You will learn to record qualitative and quantitative data, collate, analyse and report data and observations collected either in the laboratory, field or from literature and web resource. You will develop and gain technical/practical skills.
4. You will learn how to plan, undertake and report experiments and investigations within a safe and ethical environment. You will develop the ability to undertake critical evaluation of results or data and an ability to associate this with potential management decisions supported with the robust presentation of conclusion. You will gain skills and abilities in research and enquiry.
