Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes 
By the end of the course, students should:- 
be acquainted with the principles of classical Latin historiography, and with the literary, aesthetic and ideological nature of that literature; 
have read in Latin an extensive prescription of classical historiography, with due attention to linguistic and stylistic detail, and literary technique; 
be able to discuss critically interpretative issues which arise from the texts and from a range of scholarship. |
