Course description | This course is designed to introduce students to basic skills and syntax in Stata necessary for analysing complex survey data. This will include selecting variables of interest from multiple datasets and merging these into new datasets, checking and cleaning datasets, and learning time-saving tricks to manipulate data ¿ including recodes, generating new variables, creating tables in word or excel format using Stata syntax. |

Assessment Information
100% take home exam (students will be required to select variables from different datasets, merge them into one usable dataset, apply weights and produce basic descriptive tables in word following very specific guidelines. Stata syntax used for the assignment will have to be submitted). |
