  • Notes: Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are automatically entitled to progress to honours. Students who are planning on spending their Junior Year Abroad must successfully progress to honours before they can proceed on their JYA.
    THIRD YEAR COMPULSORY COURSES - In third year, students MUST take 20 credits from the list of SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY CORE COURSES: Kinship: Structure and Process 20 credits; Ritual and Religion 20 credits; Anthropological Theory 20 credits; Consumption, Exchange Technology 20 credits. Students MUST also take 20 credits from the list of POLITICS CORE COURSES: Global Justice and Citizenship 20 credits; Approaches to Politics and International Relations 20 credits. If considering taking the DISSERTATION IN SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY, students must also take IMAGINING ANTHROPOLOGICAL RESEARCH (zero credits).
