Year 1, Academic year 2015/16, Starting month: September

  • Notes: A total of 120 credits of courses and 60 credits of dissertation must be taken to achieve the MSc.

    The Programme Director must approve choice of courses. Students should note that not all optional courses will necessarily be available in any given year.

    For courses co-taught with undergraduate students and with no remaining undergraduate spaces left, a maximum of 8 MSc students can join the course. Priority will be given to MSc students who wish to take the course for credit on a first come first served basis after matriculation.

    Students can choose to do one or both core optional courses for credit but only at the discretion of the Programme Director. Students who chose to do both core optional courses must enrol on 80 credits of option courses, those only taking one core optional course must enrol on 100 credits of option courses.

    If students wish to study ancient language courses, they are usually allowed to take up to 40 credits of courses from School Collections E and G but this must be approved by the Programme Director.
