Summary | This course introduces techniques and theory used in 3D modelling and animation. The context provides an overview of 3D practice and CGI in composite renderings, animations and games through discussion of economy and detail, texturing, materials, lighting etc. In the second half of the course students will research animation techniques, which includes aspects of cinematography and visual narrative alongside the use of timelines and scripted processes. This course provides a good foundation for further work in this area (e.g. game development). |
