SummarySynopsis:
The Special Subject is chosen each year from a range of projects, which usually involve independent or group work, literature reviews, thematic surveys, and fieldwork.

Aims:
1. To deepen the understanding of a particular topic in conservation
2. To develop strength in a particular area of conservation.

Mode of delivery:
This course may be on-site or studio-based, supported by project seminars, but a range of delivery modes is available.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of a particular topic and the literature informing the topic.
  2. Acquire skills for effectively carrying out specific project work related to the topic, including (where appropriate) working with outside agencies.
  3. Display organisational, verbal and presentational skills appropriate to Special Subject.
