Summary | This is a project in creating a music composition for a screen media environment. It will be a product of individual work and development. The result will culminate in a composition or musical project that can be produced and performed in a concert (e.g. film music event) or published form (e.g. YouTube video, etc.) as part of the assessment process. Work can commence in week 7 of semester 2, though approval to proceed will depend on the outcome of the Examination Board meeting at the end of semester 2. Work should continue to the August submission date. |
Course description |
Aims:
* To enable students to demonstrate how they have developed as composers for the screen
* To provide a platform of experimentation in compositional techniques which culminates into a definite completed and presentable screen music project
* To expand student awareness through problem solving, either as a project leader or in collaboration, when completing a presented work

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Complete work that can be used in a demo reel.
- Gain vital experience and understanding of how a project is produced from concept to completion.
