Summary | Synopsis:
The Special Subject is chosen each year from a range of projects, which usually involve independent or group work, literature reviews, thematic surveys, and fieldwork.
Aims:
1. To deepen the understanding of a particular topic in conservation
2. To develop strength in a particular area of conservation.
Mode of delivery:
This course may be on-site or studio-based, supported by project seminars, but a range of delivery modes is available.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of a particular topic and the literature informing the topic.
- Acquire skills for effectively carrying out specific project work related to the topic, including (where appropriate) working with outside agencies.
- Display organisational, verbal and presentational skills appropriate to Special Subject.
