Course description Project presentation and defence

This course consists of the preparation and delivery of a presentation outlining the main outcomes of the research project and their possible significance, novelty and limitations in relation to previous knowledge; and an oral (viva) defence of the written dissertation

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. The development of knowledge and understanding of current research topics in the field of Biomedical Sciences
  2. The development and demonstration of the ability to critically evaluate the outcomes of the research project in relation to current knowledge
  3. The development and demonstration of communication skills in presenting and discussing the outcomes of the research project with others
  4. The development and demonstration of the ability to work independently under the guidance of their supervisor(s) to achieve desired outcomes
