| Summary | The course aims to provide students with an introduction to the recent research in development economics. As the following key themes indicate the focus will be on inequality and poverty, risk and uncertainty, human capital, market imperfections, corruption, geography and other issues in the context of economic development. Students will be exposed to a blend of theoretical models and empirical applications enabling them to get a better understanding of the obstacles to economic development. |
