SummaryIntermediate to advanced language work reinforcing and developing knowledge of, and proficiency in Italian syntax, vocabulary and register.
Course description One grammar seminar and two language tutorials a week.
Tutorials will tend to be focused on textual analysis and oral activities.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Italian 1 (ELCI08001)
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Italian Literature: Texts in Context 2 (ELCI08005)

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate a nuanced command of Italian, and improve critical understanding of a variety of styles and registers.
  2. Rapidly grasp the content and significance of a range of more complex written and aural material.
  3. Write more accurately and at length in different registers of Italian.
  4. Further develop effective communication skills in Italian, on both an impromptu and prepared basis.
  5. Demonstrate ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
