The principles and operation of the Treaty of Rome; the single European Act; the Treaty on European Union. The pillar structure of the Treaty on European Union; the European Communities pillar; Common Foreign and Security Policy; Justice and Home Affairs. The theory and practice of European political, economic and legal integration. The policies of the European Union. The European Union in the global context.
