SummaryThis is a for-credit course offered by the Office of Lifelong Learning (OLL); only students registered with OLL should be enrolled.

Modern Scottish poets and novelists constructing the narrative of their lives. Are these more 'truthful' than their fictional writing and do we gain a new understanding by following their life lines? We will look at autobiographies by Muir, Jenkins, Galloway, Kay and Burnside and follow the search for identity and self realisation in their work.

¿ explain the process of writing and the complex relationship between a writer and the lived life.
