Additional Information (Assessment) The student will be required to submit a learning contract and evidence that the contract has been fulfilled. The critical account presented must demonstrate both the ability to be reflective and reflexive, and demonstrate that the current evidence in relation to leadership theory in nursing and health care is appraised.

The length should be 4,000-5,000 words. Equivalent alternative forms of assessment will be accepted.

Assessments will be marked according to School/College policy and made available for moderation by the External Examiner.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate the ability to set appropriate LOs and prepare a learning contract in an creative manner.
  2. Critical appraisal of the application of theory and the application of evidence in an appropriate setting.
  3. Exercise substantial autonomy and initiative in professional activities.
  4. Demonstrate ability for critical reflection and critical evaluation of the learning objectives.
  5. Demonstrate awareness of the skills and knowledge required to provide strategic leadership for healthcare.
